With the words “God, you are our mystery and hope” you are invited to respond:

HEAR THE PRAYERS WE OFFER.

A moment of silence

In a journey of repentance, we seek to turn our lives around and join our hearts with faithful people everywhere, the world, and all the people you love.

God, you are our mystery and hope

HEAR THE PRAYERS WE OFFER.

In you we see a model of living for others even if the price is high. Fill us so completely that our goodness and mercy flows out of the doors of this place and into the world we serve.

God, you are our mystery and hope

HEAR THE PRAYERS WE OFFER.

With people of all places and ages, fill us with awe as we observe the life-giving habits of our earth and tend it with kindliness.

God, you are our mystery and hope

HEAR THE PRAYERS WE OFFER.

Teach us to meet friend and stranger with respect and open-mindedness. Make our churches places of refuge and refuelling of love. We pray especially for our partner Anglican Church of Canada. We pray for the congregations of our BC Synod: Mount Olivet Lutheran in North Vancouver and for Christ the King in Surrey and Pastor Gordon Hoeflicker.

God, you are our mystery and hope

HEAR THE PRAYERS WE OFFER.

Move us to help others along the way and to trust that you heal, help, and answer our prayers. We pray especially for those we name aloud or quietly in our heart….

(Include those listed in the bulletin for prayer)

God, you are our mystery and hope

HEAR THE PRAYERS WE OFFER.

Fill our mouths with voices to sing your praise in the words of song-writers past and present, accompanied by all the instruments your creativity has inspired.

God, you are our mystery and hope

HEAR THE PRAYERS WE OFFER.

Recall to us all the saints past and present, famous and familiar, who remind us that our lives belong to you. In the name of the Christ. AMEN
