(Congregation may be invited to be seated for prayer.)
With the prayer “Lord, in your mercy” you are invited to respond…
HEAR OUR PRAYER.

1. Enlivened by the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray for the life of the church for those in need and for all of God’s creation the world.

A brief silence.

2. Holy reconciling God, open our hearts and minds to receive you who continues to be revealed in the scriptures, in the holy meal and in one another. Send us forth for the healing and reconciling of the church and of world.
Lord, in your mercy

3. In the mystery of the power of faith we pray for our neighboring religious communities, for our partner Anglican Church of Canada and for our sister congregations in the BC Synod: in particular for First Lutheran Church in Vancouver and their pastor Richard Hergesheimer and their co pastor Lori Anne Boutin; for New life Chinese Lutheran Church in Vancouver and their pastors Florence Lo, Samuel Voo, and Fang Cheng ( Rex) Lo. May all communities of faith whether they are struggling or thriving, be energized by the power of the resurrection.
Lord, in your mercy:
HEAR OUR PRAYER

4. Answer the cries of those who are ailing, who are broken hearted, and who seek your mercy. We pray in particular for those at this time we name aloud or quietly in our heart…

Deliver all who are in need from their affliction, and help us to turn their
cries to an experience of divine healing.
Lord, in your mercy

5. Be present at celebration tables, increasing the joy of these who gather for birthdays, weddings, and parties. And be present at empty tables filling the hungry and the lonely with hope.
– In particular we thank you for those who have the gift of another birthday or another anniversary, and for those who have known the gift of new life:
– we thank you for the power of the resurrection which has lessened our times of sorrow and doubled our times of joy;
– Finally we thank you for those blessings we name aloud at this time….
Lord, in your mercy:
HEAR OUR PRAYER.

6. Where lawlessness and disorder reign, usher in peace. Through our leaders send a calming spirit to ease tensions and to encourage the way of living beyond conflict and oppression.
Lord, in your mercy

7. Remembering the lives of the saints who shared their faith with us, guide us by your Spirit to live in truth, as we long for the day when we shall live with them in your fullness.
