With the prayer “Hear us, O God” you are invited to respond…
YOUR MERCY IS GREAT.

1. Rejoicing with all the witnesses of the resurrection past and present, let us pray in confidence for the church, the world and all who are in need.

A brief moment of silence and reflection

2. Give your church a sure and certain hope that overcomes its doubt and fear. Fill us with the peace of Christ so that our very lives proclaim the promise of forgiveness and new life.
Hear us, O God:
YOUR MERCY IS GREAT.

3. Strengthen this congregation as it sings songs of hope and promise. Continue to raise up musicians who share their gifts and lead our praise.
Hear us, O God:
YOUR MERCY IS GREAT.

4. Be known to each of us as you continue to nurture us with Word and Sacrament. We pray for our partner Anglican Church of Canada and for the congregations in the BC Synod: in particular this Sunday for Christ Lutheran Church in Terrace and the pastors and people who provide ministry in that community; and we pray for Barrier Shared Ministry and Clearwater United Church and their new pastor, Brian Krushel.
Hear us, O God:
YOUR MERCY IS GREAT.

5. Inspire the leaders of the nations to work for peace and justice for all your children. May our lives, and may the policies of our governments, reflect your commandment to love one another.
Hear us, O God:
YOUR MERCY IS GREAT.

6. Ease the burden of all who suffer in mind, body or a broken spirit. We pray especially for those we now name aloud or quietly in our heart.

Grant healing, and through our individual lives, grant companionship and hope to all who
are anxious or in pain.
Hear us, O God:
YOUR MERCY IS GREAT.

7. God, the giver of every good gift, we thank you for all your special blessings of this season:
– we thank you those who have the gift of another birthday, another anniversary, or for the gift of new life;
– We thank you for blessing us even when we are tempted to doubt your presence;
– We thank you for all those who through the years have nurtured our faith and our love;
– Finally, we thank you for those special blessings we name at this time….
May we be known by our neighbour as a people of hope.
Hear us, O God: YOUR MERCY IS GREAT

8. Fill our hearts with joy and gladness as we remember those who have died believing in your name. Reveal to us the joy of your salvation even in the face of death and suffering.
Hear us, O God:
YOUR MERCY IS GREAT.

9. In resurrection hope we commend to you all for whom we pray trusting in the promise of new life; through Jesus Christ, our risen Savior. AMEN
