With the prayer “Together we pray” you are invited to respond
COME, LORD JESUS

1. In this season of hope and anticipation, we pray for the church, those in need, and all of God’s creation.

A brief moment of silence and reflection

2. As we prepare for the nativity of our Lord, may young and old experience the joy of that mystery. In this holy season may all children be free of fear or threat. And establish prosperity in every land so that no child go hungry. May your holy angels protect those who travel so that they may return safely to their loved ones.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

3. We pray this morning for your faithful flock throughout the world as they prepare for the nativity of our common Lord. We pray for our partner Anglican Church of Canada, for our neighboring faith communities, and for the congregations of the BC Synod: in particular we pray for King of Life Lutheran church in Coquitlam and their pastor Kathy Martin; and for Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran church in Comox/Courtenay as they gather in their place of worship. May all communities of faith in this Holy Season reflect in their worship the peace of God which passes understanding.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

4. Deliver the hope of Emmanuel, God with us, to those who know sadness in this season, and those who at this time suffer from loneliness, broken relationships , addiction, pain, or illness. We pray particularly for those we name aloud or quietly in our heart at this time…

With your promises and our care, fulfill the expectations of all who seek you in this season and in this
place.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

5. God, you are the giver of those special memories in this season:
– we thank you for the gift of Mary and for the gift of Joseph who was her support in their difficult times;
– we thank you for the gift of anticipation in this Holy Season;
– we thank you for those who have known the gift of another birthday, another anniversary, or the gift of new life;
– finally, we thank you for those special blessings we name at this time….
Together we pray:
COME, LORD JESUS

6. In this Advent season, continue to restore and give renewed hope to your people. May your presence be reflected in our words and our deeds in this holy season.
Together we pray:
COME, LORD JESUS.

7. Almighty God, we entrust to you all for whom we pray confident that you fulfill your promises through Christ our Savior and Lord.
