With the prayer “Together we pray” you are invited to respond
COME, LORD JESUS

1. Guided by the light of Christ who has been made known to the nations, we offer our prayers for the church, those in need, and all of God’s creation.

A brief moment of silence and reflection

2. We pray for Christ’s church on earth that even with differences it would be united in showing its love of our Lord and one another. We pray in particular for our partner Anglican Church of Canada, for our neighboring faith communities, and for the congregations of the BC Synod: for Faith Lutheran Church in Kelowna and their pastor, James Buenting; and for Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in North Vancouver and their pastor, Bishop Gerhard Preibisch. May your Spirit continue to lead people into a life of serving your church and our communities.
Together we pray:
COME, LORD JESUS.

3. We pray for the followers of Jesus Christ gathered here, that together we would be guided by the Holy Spirit to proclaim in our daily words and in our daily deeds the power of God’s love.
Together we pray:
COME, LORD JESUS.

4. We pray for our political and social leaders, that they would rejoice in their opportunities to serve. And we pray that we would show our thankfulness for those who continue to be willing to serve in our church, out community and our nation.
Together we pray:
COME, LORD JESUS.

5. We pray for all who call upon the Lord for help, for those dealing with depression or anguish, for those who are anxious, and for those who are in pain or unwell. We pray especially for those we name aloud or silently at this time ….

May all who call upon you in their time of need, receive strength from your promises and from our caring words and deeds.
Together we pray:
COME, LORD JESUS.

6. God, you are the giver of gifts in the past and in the present:
– we thank you for bring the light of your gospel even in times of darkness;
– we thank you for the apostles who passed on your gospel to the early church so that we would know
that blessing in our time;
– We thank you for those celebrating significant events in their lives,
– for those who have known the gift of another birthday, another anniversary, or the gift
of new life;
– finally, we thank you for those special blessings we name at this time….
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

7. In awe and in thanksgiving we pray for sky and sea, fish and bird, and the beauty of the whole creation, that God’s goodness be seen through our everyday surroundings.
Together we pray:
COME, LORD JESUS.

8. And we pray in thanksgiving for the faithful d departed, for the first missionaries of the Gospel, for Timothy, for Titus and for Silas that their witness would inspire us in our witnessing.
Together we pray:
COME, LORD JESUS.

9. Radiant God, hear the prayers of your people, spoken or silent, for the sake of the one who has made his dwelling among us, your Son, Jesus Christ our Savior. AMEN
