With the prayer “Together we pray” you are invited to respond

1. Guided by the light of Christ who has been made known to the nations, we offer our prayers for the church, those in need, and all of God’s creation.

A brief moment of silence and reflection

2. God you call the church on earth to witness to the life we have all received in Jesus. We pray in particular for our partner Anglican Church of Canada, for our neighboring faith communities, and for the congregations of the BC Synod: for Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Langley and their pastors, Bradford Senften and Kristen Steele; and for Hope Lutheran Shared Ministry in Mackenzie and their Anglican pastor, Henry Dunbar. Continue to uphold this community as a community of faith, dedication and caring.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

3. We pray for the nations of this world—for the prosperous and the poor, the peaceful and for the aggressive ones that leaders and followers would work toward the betterment and security of all.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

4. All of your creation is holy. May the decision makers of this land seek to protect and restore the hills and valleys, lakes and rivers, forests and coastlands to the beauty you have created. And may our leaders in this land come to know us as advocates for the health of your creation.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

5. Comfort those who mourn, ease the suffering of all who are lonely or anxious, and heal those suffering from addictions, broken relationships, addictions or from illness of any kind. We pray especially for those we name aloud or quietly at this time…

Bring to your table of blessings all who hunger and thirst for your love, and may we in this coming week be instruments of your love in what we do and what we say.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

6. God, you are the giver of gifts in the past and in the present:
– we thank you for the church which nurtures and guides us in our daily life;
– we thank you for the life giving experience of worship;
– we thank you for those celebrating significant events in their lives …
– for those who have known the gift of another birthday, another anniversary, or the
gift of new life;
– finally, we thank you for those special blessings we name at this time….
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

7. We pray in thanksgiving for those who have died with the gift of faith and love of their church, their family and their friends. Protect us from weak faith and weak love until you gather us with all your saints upon your holy hill.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

8. Radiant God, hear the prayers of your people, spoken or silent, for the sake of the one who has made his dwelling among us, your Son, Jesus Christ our Savior. AMEN
