With the prayer “Together we pray” you are invited to respond

1. Guided by the light of Christ who has been made known to the nations, we offer our prayers for the church, those in need, and all of God’s creation.

A brief moment of silence and reflection

2. Your light springs forth like the dawn. Call your church to share the mystery of your grace with a broken and searching world. We pray in particular for our partner Anglican Church of Canada, for our neighboring faith communities, and for the congregations of the BC Synod: in particular we pray for St Paul’s Lutheran church in Maple Ridge and their pastor, Roland Ziprick; for Matsqui Lutheran Church in Matsqui and the pastors and leaders providing ministry to that community. And we pray for institutions and those providing care for the elderly. May all your people heed your call to serve the church and the world.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

3. Give light and life to this gathering of faith that we may delight to know your ways and share them with a world longing to know love.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

4. You care for the weak and for the strong. Raise up leaders who use their strength to give hope for the weak. May we do our part in providing food for the hungry and shelter for the homeless.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

5. Be not slow to give your healing presence to those who are suffering from addictions or broken relationships and those who are in pain and unwell. We pray especially for those we name aloud or quietly at this time…

May our words and our lives in this coming week reflect the mystery of your love and your patience.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

6. God, you are the giver of gifts in the past and in the present:
– we thank you for giving us the light of your salvation;
– we thank you calling us to reflect your light to each other and to our neighbor.;
– we thank you for those celebrating significant events in their lives …
– for those who have known the gift of another birthday, another anniversary, or the
gift of new life;
– finally, we thank you for those special blessings we name at this time….
Help us to see your presence in our daily lives.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.
7. Increase our care for the earth and all its creatures. Help us reflect your light in our use and protection of those gifts.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

8. Satisfy our needs until we gather with all your saints from every time and place in your glorious light.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

9. Radiant God, hear the prayers of your people, spoken or silent, for the sake of the one who has made his dwelling among us, your Son, Jesus Christ our Savior. AMEN
