With the prayer “Together we pray” you are invited to respond
COME, LORD JESUS

1. Guided by the light of Christ who has shone into our lives, we offer our prayers for the church, those in need, and all of God’s creation.

A brief moment of silence and reflection

2. God of glory and of grace, you call us to reflect your love. Give your church on earth the strength and patience to be the people you would have us be. We pray in particular for the members of our partner Anglican Church of Canada, for our neighboring faith communities, and for the members of the BC Synod: in particular we pray for Mount Olivet Lutheran church in North Vancouver and their interim pastor, Katalin Janko; and for Christ the King Lutheran Church in Surrey and their pastor, Gordon Hoeflicker. Bless all your people with courage and commitment in their individual ministries.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

3. Raise up leaders like Moses with wisdom and courage, so that all would see an example of true caring leadership. And raise up all your children and counsel us not to be afraid. Help this community of faith to be fearless in whatever life brings to our church and to our individual lives.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

4. You provide us with mercy and love through your beloved Son. Shine the light of his love to heal the sick, feed the hungry and comfort the grieving. Be with all who suffer. We pray especially for those we name aloud or quietly at this time ….

May our words and our lives in this coming week reflect the mystery of your sustaining presence.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.
5. God, you are the giver of all the gifts we have known in our church and in our lives;
– we thank you for revealing to us the glory of God in our Lord and Savior;
– we thank you for those celebrating significant events in their lives …
– for those who have known the gift of another birthday, another anniversary, or the
gift of new life;
– finally, we thank you for those special blessings we name at this time….
Help us to recognize your presence in our daily lives.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.
6. You created mountains and hills, caverns and valleys. Help us in our daily decisions to be good stewards of the heights and the depths of your creation.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

7. Holy Spirit, keep us in your care until you gather us with all the saints from every time and place in the company of our loving God.
Together we pray: COME, LORD JESUS.

8. Radiant God, hear the prayers of your people, spoken or silent, for the sake of the one who has made his dwelling among us, your Son, Jesus Christ our Savior. AMEN
