With the prayer “God of new life” you are invited to respond
HEAR OUR PRAYER

1. Gracious and merciful God. incline your ear and hear this morning our pleas for ourselves, our family, our church and the nations:
A brief period of silence.
2. We pray that you would guide and bless the life of mission of all communities of faith; in particular we pray for our partner Anglican Church of Canada and for the congregations of our BC Synod: for Hope Lutheran Shared mission in Mackenzie and their pastor, Harry Dunbar; and for Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Langley and their pastors, Brad Senften and Kristen Steele. Raise up even among this congregation those who would heed the call to be part of your mission where everyone who hungers would be nourished by your bread from heaven.

3. Accompany with your sustaining presence all those experiencing life’s transitions; those preparing for new studies; those who are retiring or have retired; those who are moving to new communities; those who are experiencing aging and loss of loved ones. Give us all the ability to face new challenges in life and new opportunities to serve you.
God of new life: HEAR OUR PRAYER

4. We pray for ourselves: when we are falling, hold us up; when we are bowed down with grief or loneliness, raise us up; when we are hungry give us that daily bread we pray for; and when we or others are sick or in pain give them your healing touch. We pray especially for those we name aloud or quietly at this time …
May our words and our actions this week reflect our response to your call to a life of mission.

5. God, we thank you for how you continue to surprise us with your blessings:
– we thank you for continuing to give us our daily bread
– we thank you for grafting us into of your covenant people;
– we thank you for those who have known the gift of another birthday, another anniversary, or the
gift of new life;
– finally, we thank you for those special blessings we name at this time….

May our words and our actions give encouragement to all we encounter in this coming week.

6. The earth flourished in your steadfast love and care. Open your hand to satisfy the desire of every living thing, and give us your compassion to care for all you have made.
