With the prayer “God of new life” you are invited to respond: HEAR OUR PRAYER

  1. With the whole people of God in Christ Jesus let us pray for the church, those in need and all of God’s creation

      A brief period of silence.

  1. We pray that this congregation and all communities of faith would be confident and courageous as they seek to live out the love of God. In particular we pray for our partner Anglican Church of Canada and for the congregations of our BC Synod. At this time we pray for the Church of St Paul Shared ministry in Barriere, and their pastor Brian Krushel; and for the members of Christ Lutheran Church in Terrace in their period of transition.  Bless and encourage all who seek to be the church in their community.

God of new life:   HEAR OUR PRAYER.

  1. With the music of your gospel, arouse each of us that in the face of cynicism in our present world we would radiate faith and hope to our communities.

God of new life:   HEAR OUR PRAYER.

  1. Sing a love song to us, O God, with verses that motivate us to be agents of rebuilding in areas where storms, floods, drought and disease have devastated families and communities.

God of new life:   HEAR OUR PRAYER.

  1. With the music of your gospel, where there is disharmony, division and even violence arouse each of us to be agents of justice, freedom and healing.
  1. Sing a love song to us, O God with verses that lead us to provide relief to those who suffer, comfort to those who are grieving, protection to those who are threatened and compassion to those who feel forgotten. We pray especially at this time for those we name aloud or quietly.

Help us in this coming week to be instruments of your love and your patience.

God of new life:   HEAR OUR PRAYER.

  1. With the music of your gospel, arouse each of us to live lives of gratitude for all your blessings we continue to experience:

– we thank you at this time for those who have known the gift of another birthday, another anniversary, or     the give of new life;

– finally, we thank you for those special blessings we name at this time….

God of new life: HEAR OUR PRAYER.

  1. Sing a love song to us, O God with verses that lift us out of complacency into a life of joy in knowing the priceless gift of Christ Jesus our Lord.

God of new life:   HEAR OUR PRAYER.

  1. Trusting in your mercy and goodness, we bring before you these prayers and whatever else you see that we need. We pray in the name of the one who has set us free, Jesus Christ our Saviour. AMEN
