With the words “We are your people,” you are invited to respond:

HAVE MERCY ON US.

A moment of silence

Interrupt our lives with the power that converted Saint Paul, as we reach to you with prayers for the faithful, the world, and people needing solace and relief.

We are your people

HAVE MERCY ON US.

For the quiet beauty of the land at rest, the ever-changing skies, and the winds that blow with your goodness and magnificence, let us pray.

We are your people

HAVE MERCY ON US.

For social and church leaders, for our political masters, that they turn their powers to goodness and truth. And, for all nations, we pray that peace and understanding shine through the bleakness and blunders.

We are your people

HAVE MERCY ON US.

For all faithful people, that we find large and small ways to make a positive difference. We pray especially for our partner Anglican Church of Canada. We pray for the congregations of our BC Synod: for Faith Lutheran Church in Kelowna and Interim Pastor James Buenting and Gloria Dei Lutheran in North Vancouver and Pastor Jennifer Marlor.

We are your people

HAVE MERCY ON US.

For all those who call upon you in pain; those dealing with anguish and gloom; and those suffering from malaria, e-bola, and rare diseases. Teach us how to continue to care. We pray especially for those we name aloud or quietly in our heart….

(Include those listed in the bulletin for prayer)

We are your people

HAVE MERCY ON US.

For those of us gathered here who see power in the wee child of Bethlehem that we be perpetually guided by the light that never dims.

We are your people

HAVE MERCY ON US.

You lay in a manger swathed in a light beyond our imagining. You, perfect in innocence and newness, invite us into a holy dance that begins today, grows stronger tomorrow, and moves into an eternity with Creator, Brother, and Holy Spirit. In your name, AMEN
