With the words “Your spirit crackles with holy fire,” you are invited to respond:

LET US BREATHE YOU IN.

Trusting the spirit’s blaze yesterday, today, and tomorrow, we pray for the church, the world, and all people in need.

A moment of silence

Bless your church as it experiences your Holy Spirit and moves hope and healing out from its doors into all the world that it, that we, act as advocates of truth and faithfulness in prayer.

Your spirit crackles with holy fire, LET US BREATHE YOU IN.

Infuse all of creation with bounty as things take root and grow another season. Let us marvel at all the lights of the cosmos: sun, moon, and stars.

Your spirit crackles with holy fire, LET US BREATHE YOU IN.

Shine upon us as we demand governments that pursue the good and bless especially tribal leaders, international organizations, translators and interpreters, prophets and peacemakers that they listen to your spirit among us

Your spirit crackles with holy fire, LET US BREATHE YOU IN.

Bless those completing their studies this academic year, those who travel and have a chance to play and rejuvenate, and those gathered here and those absent, that we find joy in offering our thanks to you.

Your spirit crackles with holy fire, LET US BREATHE YOU IN.

Move us to take time and find ways to touch those we encounter who are sick, poor, hungry, alone, or in need of special attention. We pray especially for those we name aloud or in our hearts.

(Include those listed in the bulletin for prayer)

Your spirit crackles with holy fire, LET US BREATHE YOU IN.

Teach us how to reach into our community through our partnership with Anglican Church of Canada and through the congregations of our BC Synod, especially Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson Creek and Deo Lutheran in Salmon Arm and Pastor Erik Bjorgan. Bless our companion synod in Peru that it serve its people with vision and respect for their context.

Your spirit crackles with holy fire, LET US BREATHE YOU IN.

Open our eyes to see those moments in the coming week when we stand and celebrate what our faith causes us to know and celebrate.

Your spirit crackles with holy fire, LET US BREATHE YOU IN.

Holy God, we stand as Christ did so many years ago, and know that we are your beloved ones, too, in the name of our brother and companion Jesus. AMEN
