HEAR OUR PRAYER.

Gathered by the Holy Spirit and nourished by your word, we come together in this place, we pray for your church, your world, and all those in need.

A moment of silence

Make us see in your face in those we encounter each day, the familiar and the strange, as we live out your church in our communities. Bless this faith that builds us up and binds us together.

Make the grasslands and deserts flourish, and sustain the planet in all of its marvellous diversity. Give us the will and wherewithal to help our home flourish.

You have marked us with your love, HEAR OUR PRAYER

Bring freedom to oppressed people around the globe, and feed the lands that create the most wealth and well-being for the most people. Make our leaders sensitive and sensible.

Tend to those who live with chronic pain or disease that leaves no outward signs, for those who grieve, and for all those who are sick or hospitalized. We pray especially for those we name aloud or in our hearts.

(Include those listed in the bulletin for prayer)

Bless those who travel and those who stay at home during this holiday time. We look to you for care and attention to all of us gathered here today in your name.

Inspire our partnership with Anglican Church of Canada and the congregations of our BC Synod, especially Benediction Lutheran in Delta and Pastor David Lefsrud and Trinity Lutheran in Delta and Pastor Jennifer Wilson.

Show us Shechinah, your compassionate face, that we may walk with the saints past, present, and future. We remember especially those people who have fostered and inspired us in a walk of faith and faithfulness.

Into your hands and heart, dear God, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in the grace of the humble rabbi of Galilee.  AMEN.
