With the words “Make us your free and faithful servants,” you are invited to respond:

HEAR US AND BLESS US.

Gathered by the Spirit and nourished by your word, we join our hearts and minds in prayer for your church, your world, and all the world.

A moment of silence

Awaken in us and in all the world a hunger for your bounty and blessing. Through us, feed the world with words of wisdom and of hope.

Make us your free and faithful servants, HEAR US AND BLESS US.

Give us rain that fields and gardens provide what our bodies need to be fed and nourished. Bless those who grow our food with patience and prosperity.

Make us your free and faithful servants, HEAR US AND BLESS US.

Encourage and strengthen leaders who care about the well-being of great and small. Prosper the work of those who supply and oversee feeding programs in our community and around the world.

Make us your free and faithful servants, HEAR US AND BLESS US.

Comfort those who fear that they may be unable to feed themselves and their children. Let them find sustenance. Strengthen those who hunger in any way for healing and strength. We pray especially for those we name aloud or in our heart.

(Include those listed in the bulletin for prayer)

Make us your free and faithful servants, HEAR US AND BLESS US.

Strengthen this congregation in its service to food pantries and community meal programs. Open our eyes to abundance when we see only scarcity.

Make us your free and faithful servants, HEAR US AND BLESS US.

Inspire our partnership with Anglican Church of Canada and the congregations of our BC Synod, especially Faith Lutheran in Kelowna and Pastor Richard Schulz and Gloria Dei Lutheran in North Vancouver and Pastor Jennifer Marlor.

Make us your free and faithful servants, HEAR US AND BLESS US.

Root us and enable us to grow in love and compassion until we drink fully from the cup of your abundance.

Make us your free and faithful servants, HEAR US AND BLESS US.

Into your hands, loving God, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in the grace of Jesus our Saviour. AMEN
