With the words “O, All that is within and beyond us,” you are invited to respond:

HEAR US AND BLESS US.

Gathered by the Holy Spirit and fed by your word, we join our hearts and minds in prayer for your church, your world, and all those in need.

A moment of silence

Build us your church that it may give meaning within voices of longing. Teach it to share words of wisdom and of hope in a world needing your tender care.

O, All that is within and beyond us:  HEAR US AND BLESS US.

Send warmth and rain, coolness and shade, that grain, vegetables, and flowers thrive. Provide water, the essence of life, to all that thirsts.

O, All that is within and beyond us; HEAR US AND BLESS US.

Draw leaders at all levels away from bitterness and strife and into paths of peacefulness and plenty. Replace blame and malice with justice and open-mindedness.

O, All that is within and beyond us:  HEAR US AND BLESS US.

Sustain all those whose journey is painful and protracted. Restore hope to the hopeless, and energy to the lost. Comfort those who are poor, oppressed, persecuted, or homeless. Heal the sick especially those we name aloud or in our hearts.

(Include those listed in the bulletin for prayer)

O, All that is within and beyond us:  HEAR US AND BLESS US.

Bless those who prepare the bread and wine for our worship, communion servers, and all those who extend this communion to the sick and homebound.

O, All that is within and beyond us  HEAR US AND BLESS US.

Bless our partnership with Anglican Church of Canada. We pray today especially for the congregations of our BC Synod, raising up St. Paul Lutheran in Maple Ridge and Pastor Roland Ziprick, Matsqui Lutheran in Matsqui, and all institutions caring for the elderly and infirm. Bring special blessings to Keith Peterson who celebrates 40 years of ordained ministry this coming Friday.

O, All that is within and beyond us:  HEAR US AND BLESS US.

Keep all of the faithful in your loving arms until the final feast of the lamb.

O, All that is within and beyond us: HEAR US AND BLESS US.

Into your hands, loving God, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in the grace of Jesus our Saviour.  AMEN
