With the words, God of divine energy within, you are invited to respond Hear us and bless us.

As people redeemed by love and incited to serve, we pray for our church, for those in need, and for all of creation.

a brief silence

God of the lost and found, you invite us to lives in which worship invades the everyday in every way. Make worship and work one in our partnerships with the Anglican Church of Canada, Bishop Logan, Bishop Greg and the congregations of our synod. We pray especially today for Shepherd of the Valley in Langley and Pastor Kristen Steele and Hope Lutheran Shared Ministry in Mackenzie and Pastor Henry Dunbar.

God of divine energy within

Hear us and bless us.

Hold us close as we set off on our spiritual journey without a certain destination. Help us to trust you to reveal the bigger picture as we continue, eyes fixed upon love, compassion, and justice. Make us open to the visions you plant deep within our psyches.

God of divine energy within

Hear us and bless us.

Guard your creation from greed and over-consumption. Make us willing partners in using the resources of our land gently and protecting the water that sustains us. Restore polluted air and water, with us as constant advocates for conservation.

God of divine energy within

Hear us and bless us.

Break down barriers between our communities, that we avoid being silos of haves and have-nots. Make us restless until our cities and towns are places where all have a place, where homelessness is something in the past. Sustain all those leaders who make policies and practices of inclusion and fairness.

God of divine energy within

Hear us and bless us.

Make space for healing in our lives, for tending to our own weaknesses and ministering to those who are ill or tormented.  We pray especially for those we name aloud or in the depths of our being. Bless those who have requested your care and strength (name those on the prayer list)

God of divine energy within

Hear us and bless us.

Save us from feelings of shame and guilt that paralyze us, that keep us from doing what we can when we can. Cradle us with songs that sing trust, justice, and hope into our daytime activities. Open our hearts to meet needs within our families and communities, and in our workplaces.

God of divine energy within

Hear us and bless us.

Mould our memories of the saints who have come before into templates for action in a world always in need of love and patience. Make our hearts conform to the best we can be, to the work we can do.

We pray in your name, the God of the past, the God of today, and Lord of tomorrow.

Amen
