With the words, God who is present in all things, you are invited to respond Hear our prayer.

As people who know that you meet us in the all places, we pray for our church, for those in need, and for all of creation.

a brief silence

Give us open hearts and minds that we might perceive what you are up to in our modern world. Make us see what you want of our partnership with the Anglican Church of Canada. Bless Bishop Logan, Bishop Greg and the congregations of our synod. We pray especially today for Our Redeemer in Penticton and Pastor Curtis Aguirre, Trinity in Port Alberni, and for hospital chaplains throughout the synod.

God who is present in all things

Hear our prayer.

Make us faithful stewards of the created world, that its lands and waters flourish and sustain us and our children’s children. As we look towards harvest time, let us eat of the bounty with mindfulness and thanksgiving. Let us look and really see the fullness of life in flying things and crawling things, and in the animals with their varied intelligence.

God who is present in all things

Hear our prayer.

Bless all those who take leadership in our lives: elected officials, school boards, pastors, bishops, trustee, councils, ministry teams, business owners, judges, and community organizers.

God who is present in all things

Hear our prayer.

Open our hearts to the needs of all those seeking new and enriched life: refugees, immigrants, prisoners, and those broken by the burdens of trial and illness. Show yourself as strength within the weakness of mind and body to those we name aloud or in our hearts. We pray especially for those who have requested your care and strength (name those on the prayer list)

God who is present in all things

Hear our prayer.

Make our congregation and community places where the vulnerable feel safe and nurtured, where we all feel we belong and are valued. We pray especially for the very young and the very old, with all the special needs that come at the beginning and end of life on this earth.

God who is present in all things

Hear our prayer.

Into your hands, O God, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting that you never desert those who seek your presence and accept the joy of serving  you and your beloved world.

Amen
