The Canadian Lutheran Anglican Youth Gathering (CLAY) is a joined program of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC) and the Anglican Church of Canada (ACC). Canadian Lutheran Youth Gatherings have a history that goes back to 1966. In 2010, the gathering became a joint gathering of the ELCIC and ACC.
ELCIC and ACC host the gathering every two years in different cities across Canada. While the gathering was on hold or online for a few years during Covid 19 pandemic, the latest gathering was hosted live in August 2023, in Waterloo, ON, after a five-year hiatus. The keynote speakers were Rev. Aneeta Saroop and Rev. Nathan Fong from BC Synod!
What to expect at CLAY? There will be large group gatherings and worship, excursions, fun late night spots, and more. Check the highlights of 2018 CLAY here.
