BC Synod Convention - Day 1

It was the first day of business for the synod convention. 

Come highlights of the day: 

• Today is the National Indigenous People's Day, so we were wearing orange. Cari Klaassen who led the smudging ceremony yesterday brought us bannock she had baked! 
• We officially welcomed St. Mark's Lutheran as a congregation of the BC Synod. They had joined the synod last year, but this was our chance to officially (and warmly) welcome them in our midst. 
• Kazoo choir is the best way to spend time while waiting for voting results!
