Congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC) gathered online this past weekend via livestream on Reformation Sunday, 2026 to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the ELCIC. The National Worship Service was led by National Bishop Larry Kochendorfer and was joined by youth and young adults from the Saskatchewan Synod who were gathering that weekend for their camp retreat. The service was livestreamed from Camp Kinasao at Christopher Lake, Saskatchewan. If you missed joining us via livestream, you can still celebrate and watch the video recording when you click here.

Our heartfelt thanks goes out to everyone who helped make the National Worship Service celebrating the ELCIC’s 40th Anniversary a meaningful and memorable occasion! We are deeply grateful to the leadership team and staff of Camp Kinasao; Bishop Ali Tote, Rev. Sean Bell, and Deacon Gretchen Peterson; the youth and young adults of the SK Synod; and all the congregations, ministry groups, and individuals who joined us through the livestream. Thank you for generously sharing your time, gifts, service, and presence in this special celebration! We are grateful to have celebrated 40 years of the ELCIC with you!

Do you have photos of you and your congregation gathered to watch the livestream on Sunday, October 25? We’d love to see them! Send us your photos!
