We join with our Global Mission and companion synod partner - the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land - in celebrating the consecration of Bishop Dr. Imad Haddad on Sunday, January 11, as the fifth Bishop of the ELCJHL.
The ELCIC extends its blessing, support and prayers for the ELCJHL and its ministry now under the guidance of Bishop Haddad. We give thanks for the presence of ELCIC National Bishop Larry Kochendorfer and Eastern Synod Bishop Carla Blakley at this joyful occasion, and offer blessings and prayers for the ELCJHL and its ministry.

ELCIC Reaches Target Goal for ELCJHL Appeal
Additionally, the ELCIC is pleased to announce it has recently met its goal of raising $50,000 to assist in supporting the vital work of the ELCJHL to embody faith, resilience and a hope of just peace. This appeal in support of the ELCJHL was launched shortly after the 2025 ELCIC National Convention.
