We are excited to announce that the 2024 "Season of Creation" resource is now available. The BC Synod “Climate Justice Action Group” encourages you to utilize these resources this Fall as we come together in prayer to care for and to act to protect our planet.
This year’s theme, To Hope and Act with Creation, emphasizes our collective responsibility to nurture and protect our environment. This year’s logo is “The first fruits of hope.” It offers to us a biblical image of Earth as a mother groaning as in childbirth and reminds us that to hope in a biblical context does not mean to stand still and quiet, but rather groaning, crying, and actively striving for new life amidst the struggles.
This resource provides a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our relationship with the natural world and to reaffirm our commitment to stewardship. We can make a meaningful impact in promoting sustainability and environmental justice through worship, education, and community outreach. Let us join hands and explore how we can contribute to the well-being of others and fulfill our duty as caretakers of God's magnificent Earth.
