Call Process
Information for Congregations

The Call Process is a time for faith communities to pray and discern where God might be leading them. The BC Synod office will accompany congregations through times of transition and into a call process with potential candidates for rostered leadership.

The documents available for download below are meant to serve as guides on this journey.

The Call Process Handbook is intended for use when congregations experience a transition in rostered leadership. There is a lot of information in the manual. Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the table of contents, and do not hesitate to reach out to the BC Synod Office if you have questions.

For current versions of Letters of Call and documents pertaining to Interim Ministry Employment Agreements, please visit the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada website here.
