June 20 is World Refugee Day - a time to bear witness to the needs of people forced to flee their homes, and a time to ask ourselves how we are to respond. As members of ELCIC, we are called to respond with compassion and hospitality, lifting up prayers for displaced people and reflecting on how we can accompany those seeking safety and a new beginning.

During this time, please join ELCIC and CLWR in prayer, mediation and action in lifting up the plight of displaced people around the world, and God’s call for us to respond. CLWR has created a new resource toolkit for your congregation to use in marking World Refugee Day, including a prayer from Bishop Larry, a bulletin insert, worship outline, and activities for children and youth. Please find these resources when you click here.
